Even if your name is Shaquille O'Neal, the idea of bidding against the second-richest person (Bezos) in the world is probably scary.

O'Neal, a 7-foot-1 Hall of Famer, says that Bezos's huge wealth "scared" him away from his plans to try to buy the Phoenix Suns of the NBA.

O'Neal stated to TMZ Sports on Saturday that "nobody on this globe can compete with Big Man JB."

O Neal said if Jeff Bezos says he wants Phoenix Suns, may be other big players would say the same, but I won't put my name in the  hat. I am out.

According to ESPN Bezos is one of several billionaires who are thinking about making a bid for the Phoenix Suns.

Robert Sarver, who holds the Suns now, said last month that he is selling the team after the NBA suspended him.

The Suns franchise is $1.8 billion. According to reports, O'Neal is worth more than $400 million. In other words, he couldn't afford to buy the franchise.

If Bezos asks, O'Neal said he would be interested in the chance. "If [Bezos] wants me to join him, I'd be happy to talk to him,"
